Our family had a misfortune and we went looking for help and because CPS wasn't involved, they wouldn't help us. I found it very disturbing that anyone should have to get to the point of involving CPS before receiving help. Shouldn't they be helping families before it gets to that point?!?! I was also very offended when the woman we talked to blatantly dismissed our concerns as if we were paranoid or misunderstood our own situation. Very offensive and very much lacking in the help and caring departments.
